What’s Happening to My Favorite Store?

The management and name are both changing to Treasure Paws. We know Pick of the Litter Thrift Store holds a special place in the hearts of our community. While Treasure Paws has taken over operations, rest assured that the heart and mission of the store remain unchanged. Here’s what you need to know:

Where does the money go?

FIRST 10% gross of revenue is going directly to Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA (PHS/SPCA), your contributions continue to support animal welfare in our community. After that, revenue supports the operational costs of the store, and hopefully helps to grow Treasure Paws which will generate even more donations for PHS/SPCA!

Who is Treasure Paws?

Treasure Paws is a local, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization dedicated to supporting animals. We share the same values, love for animals, and deep connection to our Burlingame community as PHS/SPCA does. Please click here to learn more.

Will the store still support PHS/SPCA?

Absolutely! We’ve committed to providing 10% of our gross revenue to PHS/SPCA forever to ensure the amazing work they do continues to thrive. Even better? As we grow so will the amount of money we donate to PHS/SPCA! We hope to open more stores and generate more donations for PHS/SPCA as soon we can!

What’s changing as Pick of the Litter transitions to Treasure Paws?

Not much! The store will maintain the same cozy atmosphere, friendly faces, and treasure-filled shelves you’ve come to love. We may add a few new features or events, but our mission remains focused on serving animals and the community.

Why did the management change?

The transition allows Treasure Paws to bring new energy and ideas to the store while staying true to its original purpose—helping animals. PHS/SPCA continues to do its vital work, and Treasure Paws is proud to partner with them in this new chapter.

How can I continue to support both organizations?

It’s easy! Shop at Pick of the Litter, donate your gently used items, volunteer, and spread the word. Every purchase and donation makes a difference.

Are my donations still tax deductible?

YES! We are an approved 501(c)(3) organization. Our EIN is 33-1782460.

Where should I bring my donations?
